Paul Salas

Paul Salas

Paul Salas is a founding partner, Chief Operations Officer (COO), engineer and instructor here at Training Concepts. He has been a network engineer for over 9 years and holds numerous certifications including Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) & is a Microsoft Certified Trainer (MCT).

Paul teaches internetworking technology, routing, switching, wireless & network security classes as well as designs and supports networks across the state. He has worked on many diverse projects, including network migrations and upgrades, LAN/WAN redesigns revolving around switched core networks, and recently, projects involving VPN, firewall & wireless technologies. Paul serves as the project manager and lead engineer for numerous network projects performed by Training Concepts each and every year.

Paul is a published author with his contribution to Syngress Publishers for the title, "Implementing QoS on IP networks". He has spoken as a guest speaker for numerous events including Carolina Cisco Users Group (CCUG) & Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) for the Charleston area.

Before building Training Concepts, Paul worked for companies such as BellSouth, Sprint PCS, Fleet Mortgage & AgFirst Farm Credit Bank in a variety of network engineering/management roles.
