Michael Thompson

Instructor

Michael was born and raised in Pittsburgh, PA. His philosophy at work has always been simple, to lead by example. He spent 5 years as a department manager for the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins, where he was very successful in business, sales, and customer service. Marriage brought him to Lexington, and with that, life had to start over. Michael had a profound realization during this transition…He could never be happy in a career where he was not constantly learning. Michael decided to explore the IT world…. It was love at first sight! Michael went from not knowing much more than how to change a screensaver on a PC, to becoming certified in CompTIA Network+, A+, Security+, and Cisco Systems CCNA in just six months. He learned how to take laptops apart in a week. His patience, understanding, and non-judgmental temperament makes anyone feel comfortable in his presence. Michael's communicational skills, coupled with the rare ability to relate to people from all walks of life, makes him an ideal instructor.
